How to subscribe

If you visit this site often, you may want to subscribe to the First Forty podcast. By subscribing, you’ll automatically recieve new episodes as they are released — downloaded directly to your computer. The following illustrations show how to do this via iTunes:

1) If you haven’t done so already, download iTunes for free.

2) Once in iTunes, select “iTunes Store”.

3) Enter “first forty” or “faulhaber” in the Search bar and hit Return.

4) In the “Podcasts” section, click on the First Forty logo (or on “See All” for more entries). Note that you can click “Subscribe” here and skip the next step.

5) Once on the First Forty page, simply click “Subscribe”

6) Click “Subscribe” to confirm.

You’ll want to choose how podcasts are downloaded to your computer. In iTunes Preferences, click the “podcasts” tab and choose the desired setting for “Check for new episodes”. If you select every hour / day / week, iTunes will search for new episodes automatically. As you can see from the graphic below, I prefer to download podcasts manually.

If you opt to download podcasts manually, do this by clicking the “Refresh” button at the bottom of the iTunes window (only after you are in the “Podcasts” section of your Library).

You can find individual episodes by clicking on the gray triangle next to a podcast’s title.
